Event by Tri-Tone Rhythm Ensemble
In partnership with the National Music Centre and Jaimie Hill & Tammy-Lynn Powers Memorial Foundation, we bring together over 80 Tap Dancers from across Alberta for an eclectic evening of rhythm and expression, honouring the legacy of Tap Legend, the late Bill "Bojangles" Robinson.
The focus of the weekend is to develop a vibrant, inspired, and inclusive tap dance community, to create a platform for the creation and presentation of new work, and to advance and celebrate rhythm tap and the percussive arts in Alberta. Tap Day is a community-oriented event, welcoming rhythmic artists, musicians and spectators of all ages.
We invite you to join us for our concert presentations of “DOUBLE TIME”; a double bill featuring: The 5th Annual Tap Day Community Concert and Tri-Tone Rhythm Ensemble’s 10th Anniversary.
