Brazilian Zouk Level 1 Beginners FUNdamentals 6 week series

Teachers : Tony & Jane
Level 1 Class: 9:00pm - 10:30pm
ZMS Social: 10:30pm - 1:30am
Cost: $180 for 6 classes + 6 Socials
($30 for drop in)

Combined: 9hours of classes, and 18+ hours of social dancing.

(ATTENDANCE): The 6 weeks will be a progressive layering of topics covering the Fundamentals of Brazilian Zouk, such as: basic steps, common zouk moves, transitions, connection, body awareness, musicality and timing.

What is Brazilian Zouk?
Have you heard of Lambada? No? It's okay you should still come out
Yes? It's the baby of Lambada, Brazilian Zouk is a dance-infused with the elements of the fire you love from Latin dances, the flow + expressiveness of contemporary/classical movements, and the swag + attitude from hip hop. This partner dance includes lots of hips, head movements, and connection-based body awareness that is sure to intrigue you!

This is a great opportunity to get some exercise in, meet new people, and learn something new!

A partner is NOT required to attend this event! HOWEVER, feel free to bring a partner to join the class if you are not comfortable with class rotations.

This 6 weeks is designed for:
New students wanting to learn Brazilian Zouk

-Students who have attended a semester, and want to build on their foundations

-Students who want to get a refresher on their fundamentals and/or to learn the opposite role
Practice is the key to developing what you've learned in class, so we highly recommend staying for the social after to dance and have fun! You can also invite friends to the social!

ZOUK ME SOFT Socials will begin right after class.
