What are some of your artistic/professional goals?

Some of my artistic and professional goals are as follows:

-Continue to build the VibeTribeYYC community

-Create more lanes for hip hop dancers (Performance opportunities/projects/training programs/crews etc.)

-Develop my choreography, make energizing connections, and have fun with my art

What is a quote that resonates with you as an artist?

“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit” - Will Durant

How does location play a role in your film?

The locations used in my film were inspired by themes expressed in the music chosen: Power is Power by The Weeknd, SZA, and Travis Scott. These site choices are “Game of Thrones” influenced: mountains, forests, frozen waterfalls and a lot of snow! There is a sense of wilderness in the character portrayed, which is perfect for the locations we shot in. Throughout the song there are multiple references to cold, ice, and snow: which we had no shortage of. At a certain point, there is a struggle which occurs internally for the character I created. I chose to isolate a specific location that was quite different and barren to match the dark and unhinged energy you will experience while watching. Using the music as a guide to our story and locations used, we were able to heighten and enhance the overall effect that is felt when watching this cinematic piece.
